In fact, up to 40% of the weight of BBQ sauce may be pure sugar. Ketchup Like BBQ sauce it contains lots of sugar. A single tablespoon of ketchup contains 1 teaspoon of sugar. Fruit Juice Yes, you get some vitamins and mineral but fruit juice is missing its most valuable component, fiber. There can be just as much sugar in fruit juice as there is in a sugary drink like Coke. The poor health outcomes that have been convincingly linked to sugary soda may be linked to fruit juices too Be careful what you eat, there are many other items that you may think are healthy that are loaded with sugar.
